Thomas Alfred Keasling (1924–2005) was an American educator and woodshop teacher known for his engaging teaching style. Born on May 14, 1924, in Los Angeles County, California, he was the son of Emmor Keasling and Murna Hoffman. In 1930, he resided in Montebello, Los Angeles, and later in Downey Judicial Township in 1940. He married Loretta Christine Wright in 1947 in Los Angeles. Thomas taught woodshop at Brooklyn Friends School, where he was praised for fostering excitement and trust among students in the woodshop program.
